Lace-up those sneakers and get stretching…it’s time for the Life’s Choices Spring Chicken 5K – a fun time for a great cause. Life’s Choices is a faith-based pregnancy crisis center with locations in Hamburg and Kutztown, and you can help them by participating in this fundraising event.
And you don’t have to run it – anyone can participate – walk it, skip it, hop it! And if you have little chicks, they’re also encouraged to participate in the Chick Chase Fun Run (ages 12 and under).
Online registration by April 15th will guarantee you a T-Shirt and and lunch featuring a Chick-Fil-A sandwich for the $30 early-bird registration fee. Or, you can take your chances if there will be leftovers and wait to register for $35 when you arrive at the event on April 29th. Children under 12 are only $15 each, or $20 after the April 15th online registration deadline. If you’re registering a team or your family, each registrant is only $20 before April 15th. We already have a team set-up, Zion’s Finishers, so you can just add yourself for the $20 fee. There are also sponsorships available, so even if you don’t want to physically participate you can still help Life’s Choices.
On the morning of the event, April 29th, in person-registration and race packet pick-up begins at 8:00am in Hamburg Park. The Chick Chase Fun Run begins at 9:00am, and then the 5K starts sharply at 9:30am in Hamburg Park with an easy out-an-back along the Schuylkill River Trail. During the event and after, there’s also a Free Family Festival featuring games, concessions, and more. Come hang out while you’re crazy friends run or walk the course!
Register online today to make sure you get your Chick-Fil-A sandwich for the $30 early-bird registration fee. If you wait until after April 15th to register, you’ll need to add $5.00 more to every registration option.
