What is the Inspired Sisters Women’s Ministry?

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds” – Hebrews 10:24

Since surrendering my life to Jesus in 2009, He has blessed me with numerous opportunities to step out of my comfort zone and be purposeful in Him and for Him. Jesus has given me a beautiful church family and amazing women to do life with which has immensely helped in grow in my faith. So, in what’s been done for me, I am inspired to do the same for other women and with other women.

When we gather, we talk, we laugh, we share our burdens, and we pray for and encourage each other in trials and struggles. We spend time together in common interests and new endeavors, and we come away feeling loved and blessed. We have found that these times together help us grow as women in whatever season we find ourselves, all the while strengthening our faith in Jesus. Strong relationships require quality time.

Inspired Sisters is a ministry of women who want to be what we are called to be in Jesus and encourage our sisters along the way.  We believe that as we are saved in Christ, we are also called to be more than what we can be alone. The bible tells us that a cord of three is hard to break, so we want to be a community of women who pour inward and outward, to inspire, and empower each other as best we can.

Throughout the year, we host many new and recurring events and activities for women, as well as some including men and families too.

“Surrendering the Secret” Bible Study

Many women hide the facts of their abortions, suffering the consequences of guilt and shame in isolation. No doubt, abortion can be a traumatic experience in a woman’s life. “Surrendering the Secret” is an 8-week bible study to heal hurting women and the heartbreak of abortion through honest and interactive bible study, meaningful group experiences, and unique journaling exercises in a confidential, caring community. If you would like more information, please contact Marie Perry at 610-587-2136 or Katie Bailey at 484-794-3533 in confidence.

Sunday School Bible Studies

While spending time alone with God in His Word is important, within a group or relationally is just as important and vital. Group bible studies provide the opportunities to celebrate life’s victories with others, get needed prayer support, offer encouragement in tough times, and help keep ourselves accountable in our personal growth. They also aid in defining a structured time to focus on topics that address our needs or interests. Contact Katie Keck at kkeck011@gmail.com to find out the current study topic!

Women’s Conferences

What better way to grow in our faith than with leading and instruction from gifted women through worship and speaking. Join us as they teach and inspire us in the Word of God and our purpose in Him. In past years we’ve hosted two-day simulcasts and one-day video-style events. Last year, we were blessed to have a divine appointment with Pastor and accomplished Worship Leader from Blue Mountain Community Church, Jennifer Eckhart. Think about joining us for our next Spring Conference!

Be Active!

There seems to be something about walking, running, hiking and talking that helps us process life, process what God has been speaking to us, or working out solutions to life’s dilemmas…and even more so when that activity is shared by sisters in Christ. There’s so much encouragement, accountability, revelation, and enjoyment in combining social times with active times such as walking or running 5K’s, kayaking, mud and obstacle races, and skiing and snowboarding. So lace up your sneakers, and plan to join us soon.

Workshops & Common Interests

Ever wanted to try glass fusing or sewing a canvas tote?  Or how about preparing and jarring fresh salsa? Or maybe making bread from scratch or weaving a basket is more your style. Well, we’ve done these things and more, and we’re always looking for more shared talent and skills. There are so many things we can learn from each other – God is bountiful in giving talents and gifts to each of us. In addition to workshops, we also gather by joining up to participate in common interests or try something new – things like bowling and learning how to properly handle firearms.  Like to play board games? We do that too – check the calendar for the next get-together!

Need-Based Service Groups

Serving through missions is a life-changing endeavor. However, the opportunity to serve outside of our communities isn’t always possible. For some, your season looks like – jobs or kids or too many other appointments. But the ability to serve, as Jesus instructs, doesn’t only need to happen in another state or half a world away. Does your neighbor need help with her kids or a prepared meal? Could an elderly friend use some groceries, a warm fleece blanket, or a ride to the doctor? Maybe you can make something for someone you don’t even know, like wheelchair bags for the disabled. There’s indeed a mission field right in front of you!

Would you like to be involved or have some feedback for us?   How about an idea or a new group that you would like to offer participation in or organization for?  Reach out and inspire us at mperry@kassay.com.
